At Citywest Shopping Centre, We are proud to offer a Sensory
Friendly experience particularly within the Public common areas
every Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm throughout the Citywest
Shopping Centre common areas.
This scheduled period is incorporated to provide a more accessible shopping environment for those customers who wish to come to visit us that may be dealing with sensory sensitivities such as those with Autism and indeed anyone who may wish to benefit from a quieter experience whilst shopping here.
Our aim is to look to provide the following experience during this scheduled period:
• Reduced noise throughout the Centre
• Reduced lighting where possible*
• No in-Centre announcements
• Additional assistance available from Centre staff
*Please note: Not all stores are able to adjust lighting. For more details, please check the individual store page or contact them directly.
Additional aids we also look to provide those seeking such a sensory environment are ;
• A Sensory Map to highlight areas of high sensory input within the Centre. Hard copies can be found near the entry / exit points and a soft copy can be viewed here on our website www.citywestshoppingcentre.com
